On July 7, 2017, the Korean Corporate Legal Affairs Association and the Korean Chinese Society of Law co-hosted the inaugural Korean-Chinese Corporate Legal Affairs Symposium. Held in the National Assembly Library under the theme "Major Issues in Korean-Chinese Trade and Our Response Plan," the seminar attracted attorneys, business leaders and politicians. Yong-Jin PARK, a member of the National Assembly, and the Korean Legislation Research Institute were also co-sponsors.
While opening the event, DR & AJU Managing Partner Young Chan NAM pointed out that it is important to recognize the need to adapt relevant laws and policies as the exchange of goods and people between Korea and China reach record highs. A theme also carried by Assemblyman Yong-jin Park in his welcome address: "Faced with growing interdependence, it is increasingly important to have a domestic policy that reflects global developments.”
During the seminar, top academics from Korea and China discussed the two countries’ trade and future prospects.
