On March 5, DR & AJU hosted the webinar on Proactive Prevention and Reactive Response for Serious Accidents. Mr. Seung Yoon LEE, a reporter of the Daehan Economy served as the host, while panelists included Mr. Young Kyu KIM, DR & AJU’s Partner and the Head of the Serious Accidents Practice Group, Mr. Jin Woo JUNG, a professor in the Department of Safety Engineering at Seoul National University of Science and Technology, and Mr. Jin Seol Pok, the Head of Serious Accidents Consulting Department at the Korea Industrial Safety Association. Even though three years have passed since the enforcement of the Serious Accidents Punishment Act (SAPA), many companies are still facing challenges in effectively responding to the SAPA. During this webinar, the participants carefully examined recent serious accidents and key policies related to the SAPA. They also discussed the strategies that companies can implement to effectively address serious accidents.
