The Africa Investment Forum 2024 was held from December 4 to 6 at the Sofitel Jardin des Roses in Rabat, Morocco.

On December 4, Ms. Kyeong (Catherine) Kim participated as a panelist representing Korea in the “High-Level Panel Developing New Investment Flows into Africa: Key Critical Minerals and Batteries.” In her presentation, Ms. Kim addressed strategies for Korean companies to establish sustainable partnerships in Africa’s critical mineral mining and development sectors, highlighting the role of African governments in facilitating these partnerships.
Ms. Kim’s insights garnered significant attention, including a feature by CNBC, a leading U.S. business news outlet. The coverage further amplified global attention on Africa’s critical mineral industries and the potential for Korean companies to enter the African market.
