To commemorate the inaugural “Korea-Africa Summit” held in Korea on June 4, DR & AJU successfully hosted the “Powering Growth: Africa-Korea Untapped Opportunities.”

As the only event organized by a private company, the forum attracted over 150 executives and entrepreneurs from 36 African countries, Korean companies, and executives of related agencies.

During the congratulatory remarks, Managing Partner Mr. Kyu Chul LEE stated, “Countries of the African Continent and South Korea can be excellent partners in various fields, such as energy, infrastructure, minerals, and more. In particular, DR & AJU will provide high-quality advisory services to ensure domestic companies can make safe investments.”

The forum started with an opening address delivered by Foreign Attorney Mr. Timothy DICKENS, who heads DR & AJU’s Africa Team, followed by a welcome speech from the President of The Korea-Africa Foundation. During the forum, participants examined the current state and business outlook of the energy, infrastructure, and minerals sectors in Africa, and discussed collaboration strategies.

The forum featured four sessions on the African energy sector: 1. Financing Regimes for Domestic Companies Entering Africa’s Market, 2. Current Status and Future Prospects of Pan-African Power Projects, 3. Current Status and Future Prospects of Pan-African Infrastructure Projects, and 4. Current Status and Future Prospects of Pan-African Key Mineral Projects.
